Iberostar Paraiso Lindo - Wonderful Vacation
![]() |
We stayed at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo from May4th-May 11th. It exceeded our expectations. We had the most fabulous vacation and will definately be coming back. In fact it was so good that we are already talking about taking another trip soon.
We are a couple in our mid 30’s without children and were worried there may be too many kids here. The kids are kept busy with activities and didn’t get in the way at all. In fact I can’t understand how anyone could not have a good time at this resort.
The pool is endless and peaceful. The beach is perfect, sandy and gorgeous!
We started the week off by booking our restaurant reservations..
We went to the Mexican and Italian restaurants and then decided to forgo the rest of our reservations and just eat the buffet for the rest of the week.
The food at the buffet had a great variety and very good.. the restaurants were ok.. but not spectacular.. I think they were probably above average for an all inclusive resort.. but here in CT we have so many fantastic restaurants.. kind of hard to beat..
We didn’t like having to stop what we were doing to go shower and get ready for dinner at a specific time and preferred to just relax and go leisurely to the buffet. We do not like being on any type of schedule on vacation.. and since the food was so good at the buffet.. (something for everyone) we elected to go that way for the rest of the week. Afterall we vacation for the beach and pools rather than the food.
The shows were ok.. we especially liked the mexican folklore show. Make sure you see that.. the shows are in an open aired theater it is really nice after dinner to go for a few drinks..
We spent our days on the beach from morning until about 4-5pm.. then hit the pool for about an hour.. it was sooo nice…. we could stay on the beach forever..
We ventured into Playa Del Carmen twice and over to Cozumel as well.. It is fun to see the town.. but we ate in Playa Del Carmen and ended up with Montezuma’s Revenge.. if we had to do it again, we would stay at the resort.. there is so much to do there anyway and not enough time.
Make sure you check out the commercial center at the hotel as well.. good stores and food!!
Anyway, I realize this review is all over the place but to summarize.. this was a fantastic place to vacation.. go you will not regret it.. you will have a great time!
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO TIP THE STAFF WELL.. they work so hard to make sure everything is perfect. We would tip at all meals.. and the bartenders who served us as well.. We also left 5 dollars a day for the maid. Plan on 200 dollars or so for the week.
We tipped well and feel it was really appreciated.. on our way back from Playa Del Carment the cab driver took us through the neighbourhoods.. it was eye opening how these people live. Dirt shacks with tin for roofs.. it makes you appreciate what you have.
1 last thing.. there are a few kitties living on the resort and they are starving.. they do not bother you at all.. in fact you probably won’t see them unless you look for them. We would find them at night time and feed them some things we could get them from the buffet. If you like kitties.. try to get some food out of the buffets for these kitties them. they were the hungriest, thinnest kitties I have ever seen.. but when we finished each night they would be purring with full bellies…
